Brenda Porter originally grew up in Dayton, OH where she started gymnastics at the age of 10. She enrolled at the Dayton Academy of Gymnastics and Dance at age 12 where she exceeded expectations especially on the floor exercise and vault. In high school, she excelled and was selected to the varsity team as a freshman. Her family then relocated to Warner Robins, GA where she attended Middle Georgia State University and began her gymnastics instructing career at Robins Gymnastics. Brenda and her new military husband then transferred to the island of Crete, Greece where she opened a program instructing both American and Greek students for two years. After relocating to Ogden, UT, Brenda was asked to coach Level 8 and Level 4 competitive teams and was a member of United States Gymnastics Federation at United Sports Academy. Brenda then went on to open her own gymnastics academy, Jumpers Gymnastics in Great Falls, MT where she managed 6 teachers with an enrollment of 200 children from toddlers to teenagers. Her gym’s goal was to introduce beginner to intermediate gymnastics skills while building the children’s self-esteem.
