Ms. Chrishawn Floyd

Chrishawn Floyd was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a career teacher, curriculum writer and teaching artist having taught music and Spanish in the public, public charter and private schools of Virginia, Washington, DC, Texas, and Florida. She is also an experienced classical church soloist, concert, and opera performer having made the rosters of Virginia Opera  Chorus, Washington National Opera Chorus, Repertory Opera Theater of Washington,  Loudoun Lyric Opera, Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Austin, and Opera Tampa. She has also been a member of The I.C. Sherman Greene Chorale, Chorus Austin and The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay.  She has performed the roles of Third Lady, The Magic Flute,  La Principessa, Suor Angelica,

Dame Hannah Rose’s Aunt, Ruddigore, Gilbert and Sullivan, and  Phoebe, The Yeomen of the Guard, Gilbert and Sullivan. Chrishawn is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Sorority. She resides in Tampa, Florida. She teaches fifth grade and elementary music at Immanuel Lutheran School in Brandon. Chrishawn has been teaching private voice and piano since 2007.
