Ms. Khorii Tinson

Khorii Tinson (she/they) is a freelance movement artist, teacher, and choreographer currently based in Riverview, Florida. In her early years, Khorii trained and competitively danced mainly with Dance Theatre of Jacksonville out of Jacksonville, North Carolina under Debra Baile-Beccera. Khorii received her B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. During her time at UT, Tinson worked with many artists in works and processes including Charles O. Anderson, Gesel Mason, Rennie Harris, Courtney Mazeika, Jenn Freeman, Stephanie Martinez, and many others. Khorii joined Gesel Mason Performance Projects with Gesel Mason in 2020 and there works with Mason and other performing artists of all fields collaboratively; most recently on a piece called “Yes, And,” where the company rehearsed in residency and performed at The Fusebox Festival in Austin, Texas, Jacob’s Pillow, and a historical gardens in Washington, DC. Khorii teaches at various studios across the country, mainly contemporary and improvisation and sets work recreationally and competitively.
